This rant is a tribute to the suckiness of Creative. You don’t have to read on.
Me: Hi, you see, I left my Zen mp3 player in my bag. And when I took it out the screen became faulty. I’ll show you. (Click to view)
Salesgirl: I see, the screen cracked.
Me: Yeah so does the warranty cover the repair cost?
Salesgirl: Nope. This is self inflicted damage by the user. What’s the memory space of the player?
Me: 4GB.
Salesgirl: The replacement of the LCD will cost you $139. You may as well buy a new one.
For your info, a 2gb player = $150, 4gb = $200.
So if you send a 2gb player for repair, they will charge you lesser than $139. For that, I am asking why. Why the different charges for replacement of the same damn screen? Ridiculous.
My friend has a 2gb Zen player and the screen blacked out too. Same case. Browse the net and you can find lotsa criticisms on this. It is not user problem, it is their frigging product problem.

Whatever the case, Creative sucks. Sucks reeeeal bad. They can go create a new industrial vacuum cleaner with incredible sucking power, and name it Zen Sucks. And naturally, it’ll be overpriced without any valid warranty for “self-inflicted damages”. I have learnt my lesson, I won’t buy it.
